I was wondering if you could consider using H.265 (HEVC) instead of H.264 (AVC) 10 bit in the future.
The reason is because, while a lot of hardware players support HEVC (even in 10 bit), hardware support for 10 bit AVC is pretty much inexistent.
For example, my Synology DiskStation can easily transcode and stream 10 bit HEVC, but not 10 bit AVC.
If I’m not mistaken, the original reason why the Anime community used AVC 10 bit, was to reduce file sizes at equal or better quality than 8 bit. HEVC, being the successor of AVC, should perform even better, especially in 10 bit.
