Asenshi is looking for enthusiastic individuals that have interest in the field of subtitle editing.
If you ever wanted to work with one of the most passionate fansubbing groups, this is the perfect chance for you!
While fansubbing experience is preferred, it is not a necessity.
If you don’t have any, you will get OJT (On-the-job training) during your stay in Asenshi.
Our only requirements are that you are fluent in English and that you can pass the questionnaire and editing test.
Applications have been closed. Thanks to everybody who applied!
That being said, here is the link to the questionnaire.
Please try to answer it as honestly as possible.
UPDATE: Applications will close on the 21st, make sure to get your application in if you haven’t done so yet!
If you’ve applied, you should join the #asenshi-recruit channel on irc.rizon.net and wait for a response.
We recommend HexChat as the IRC client of choice and make sure to register your nickname via NickServ.
If you’ve passed the questionnaire, you will be handed over the editing test.
Please follow the instructions and do the test to the best of your ability.
Also, reverting/staying to our spell names due to the wild inconsistencies in the official subs.

So yeah, here’s the first BD volume of LWA, it only took several months to do!
(The next volumes should be released faster, I hope…)
The BD version has various improvements, ranging from dialogue script touch-ups to added
and improved typesetting/song styling, and of course, much better video/audio quality!
With that being said, please do enjoy the first BD volume of LWA!
As we have stated previously, NyaaTorrents has shut down and as such, we will be moving to nyaa.si and rebatching certain shows, but it doesn’t end there.
We will also be doing BD batches of some TV shows that we, in our opinion, think deserve it.
All new shows/batches will contain two torrent links (one of which is a backup) and a magnet link.
Anyway, all that aside, time to post the list of all the shows that are getting batched/moved:
(NOTE: This post will be constantly updated as we move shows over.)
Akame ga KILL — Will be fully removed as FFF has done the BDs with our subs.
Amanchu! — To receive BD treatment. (Episode 13/OVA will be getting a separate BD release.)

Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru (S1) — Done.
Due to lack of staff and interest, we will be doing no TV shows this Summer season.
We’ll be instead focusing on finishing batches as well as doing BDs of certain shows. (more info on that later)
All of our future releases will be hosted on nyaa.si
Also, we will likely be opening up public staff recruiting for the Translator and Editor positions soon so if you want to get into fansubbing, keep a lookout for the post!
Wow, the ride is finally over. There’s a lot to say, but I’ll leave it to each of us.
joletb:
I would like to thank the entire staff that worked on this and helped realize this huge project, it’s been truly an amazing ride and we hope you enjoyed the show as much as the Asenshi crew did.
I’d like to also extend my thanks to the entire staff over at TRIGGER and Yoh Yoshinari himself for making this great show in the first place and all of our fans for supporting us.And don’t forget, no matter what happens, a believing heart is your magic.
Akatsukin:
To be honest, I really didn’t care for LWA when it first came out. Sure it looked good, but it was as generic as could be, and had no real substance. The second OVA was fine too, but it was this TV series that stirred my subber soul. It had real content, there was a lot that was well thought out (and some that wasn’t), and I felt a lot more connected with all of the characters. Every week was a flurry of excitement to get the subs out, and it was my pleasure to provide them to everyone. Though it waxed and waned, I feel that overall Little Witch Academia was a good series with a very satisfying conclusion. From here on out, I’ll continue walking my own path with magic flowing from my believing heart.

Ianu:
Little Witch Academia was a mostly pleasant and sometimes magical show, and as such it’s probably a good one to go out on. After a couple of eventful years and more episodes than I would like to count, I’m retiring from fansubbing; this mediocre editor has run his course, and then some. There will be some things I’ll miss and some I don’t, and some regrets will linger, but I think I was happy all in all. Thanks for watching our shows!

You could have prevented this.
Why didn’t you stop it?
The next and final episode is coming up, hopefully it’ll go out with a bang!
I said I’d do another post when pigs start to fly… well, here I am. This episode presents another formidable argument why the idol business is a treacherous path that should be avoided at all costs. If you are a cute little girl, please consider more sustainable career paths and please, please, do not shoot for the moon. I heard they have openings in magical IT.
