Don’t call me Kokoro-chan!
They really weaved together a lot of different plotlines this episode, and it ended up becoming a wonderful tapestry. It’s that balance of loveliness yet gravity of reality that pulls the show together. Even though I love the students, it feels like I’m at the point where I can relate to Mato-sensei the most. It’s a bit worrying, but at the same time, I can be inspired by Pikari too.

It was really quite incredible how much research this show has required after even a single episode, and I’d like to share a tiny bit of that information here for your benefit.

As usual, there were a couple of interesting references and jokes snuck in. For one, the term “HePiRe” is pronounced the same as the word 屁っ放り, meaning a useless person. There’s also the net slang マジレス, literally meaning serious response, which a couple people I consulted suggested was akin to being “baited”. And minor metals are a real thing, look it up if you’re curious. Other than that, I fucking love this shit, it’s like coming back home after dealing with Lostorage a year and a half ago in addition to two year Okada withdrawal symptoms. What’s really interesting is watching this in the context of her earlier movie Kokosake and how her two protagonists contrast with one another. I have high expectations, and I’m ready to go.

Despite being Advance, I’ve got to say that Teko was quite Aggressive! How lucky we are that this got a second season. It looks like Kokoro and Pikari’s imouto are here, which means that we should be getting into supernatural territory and hopefully the Peter storyline too! I’m always up for more Amano Kozue and her lovely worldview, so I hope you’re ready to take a dive and go exploring in yet another beautiful, blue world with us.
Lostorage conflated WIXOSS will not be picked up because the original staff has retired and there’s no real interest in the show anymore. The OVA has been also dropped since it’s subbed now by Crunchyroll.

Whoa, where’d this come from?! I finally found the time and motivation to get this done (cough cough season 2), and I forgot just how much I loved this show somehow. Other subs have been out for this for a long time, so this is really just for my own selfish benefit and the feeling of accomplishment, but if you haven’t seen it yet or have been waiting, then please enjoy! Tomorrow we’ll be working on the new season, and from here on out we’ll try to get it done on the date of airing.

You know how I said SSR was still coming? Well, there does happen to be just one very minor issue, which is that we don’t have a BD source; we were sort of expecting one to be around by now, but apparently not. As an obvious result SSR isn’t actually going to happen until we get one. So if you do have the BDs, and are interested in helping save by far the best show last season about bike roadtrips, please contact joletb or get that thing out via the usual channels. Much appreciated.
Kujisuna’s in a similar situation but no one cares about that so if you’ve got it and want to make me check all that Greek shit again are generous enough to help there, we’d really appreciate that too.

This wall’s not done just yet.
I’ve graciously been allowed to write this final post, so here I am.
I came into this thinking Yuru Camp would more or less be a shadow of Yama no Susume (the Δ’s because it’s the third season (the actual third season’s coming Summer; watch it!)) but it quickly showed itself to be something pretty different. Quality yuru’s always been at the heart of the show, and in these final two episodes Yuru Camp’s really brought it back; maybe things slowed down (or, uh, sped up?) a bit in the middle, but we’re back to where we were: a quiet, lovely campground with a view of Mount Fuji. ΔotS; can there be any contest? I hope you were all able to take it as easy as we weren’t. Thanks as always for watching Asenshi.

Akatsukin: This was one of those “fun to watch, not to sub” shows, which is great yet also unfortunate. The time spent working on it seriously felt as slow as the title of the show implied. That said, I loved Nadeshiko and Rin (and all that Aoi art wink wink) and I’m glad we picked it up. However, I will definitely never simuledit again. For real this time. Also, sorry to the Wixoss fans, but I need to follow my girl to her new show. See you there.
