What truly are “memories”?
In this sequel to Wixoss, the Selector system has mysteriously returned, but it’s not quite the same as it used to be. Has it truly changed, or are we simply unsure in our memories? And if we can’t even know our own pasts, then how are we to know who we really are? Let us follow the tale of Suzuko and Chinatsu as they seek to learn the truth.

Apparently Mato-chan-sensei teaches world history, whether she mentioned it earlier or not. This episode you can see her giving a lecture on the Renaissance. This is also a very educational episode about how to care for a kitten, and there’s a bit of a reveal regarding the club’s beloved advisor. Those familiar with Amano shouldn’t be surprised.

It’s beautiful how each episode is constructed to further a single simple yet poignant theme, especially taking into consideration it’s drawing from a pool of already written chapters. It’s elegant and beautiful.

Whoa, notes. Bet you never expected to see them on this side of my work. “Tawashi” is a very specific type of Japanese brush, which you can easily Google. Spring bloom is called something more like “spring murkiness” in Japanese, and that’s the term you’re familiar with if you’ve read the manga, but it does actually have a real English equivalent. And that thing they call the inflator? It actually also deflates, making it one of those half-correct loanwords.

I aspire to be a teacher like her
Did you know that most of the team for this is in higher education? Half of us had other responsibilities, but I think Katori-sensei would forgive us. But seriously, I knew it from Aria, but Amano Kozue knows exactly what real teachers should be like. I think she might’ve been one in a past life, if not her current one. This was another fantastic episode.
